Celebrating European Silver for Coach Dan 🥈
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate another international achievement for Powell Judo Academy head coach. Dan represented Great Britain at the 2026 IBSA Judo European Championships in Germany, where he won an incredible silver medal in the J1 -95kg category.
After winning his first two contests, Dan reached the final once again. Although he narrowly missed out on retaining his title, another European medal is a fantastic achievement and a strong start to his journey towards the LA 2028 Paralympic Games.
We’re proud that our members get to learn from a current international athlete who brings his experience, determination and passion back to every session.
Dan will be back coaching at Powell Judo Academy this Thursday and bringing his European silver medal with him! We can’t wait to welcome him back onto the mat. 🥈🥋
